This project is about changing perspective, using diffused full spectrum light to show the intensity of what a pollinator might see. The flowers are lit from within, crafted out of translucent porcelain. Its varying thickness causes them to glow brightest where the pollen would be concentrated.

This piece explores adapting to change and persevering through turmoil. Removing color from the flowers abstracts the experience, with white symbolizing mourning rather than purity. Flowers represent life’s fleeting nature, shifting with my journey. The absence of color reflects grief, while light symbolizes resilience and the continuation of life through loss.
